Pioneer BT, Parking Brake Override?

Just curious if anyone has any information or knows of a thread on how to perform a parking brake override so I can access bluetooth control without having to have the parking brake engaged?

which model Pioneer head unit do you have? Some models can just be grounded out or if it requires a double pulse you'll need the bypass like the one posted above.

Ground the wire for the parking brake you dont need to buy extra stuff.

I installed the microbypass that was linked above from amazon and it was really simple, just connecting three wires.

With Pioneer head units nowadays you can't just ground the parking break wire, it requires a bypass (at least that's what I've heard, I'm no expert)

I have the Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS and it works fine grounding the wire.

I couldn't find any info on that model. Depending on the model the HU is either single or double pulse. Single pulse can be grounded without anything extra and double pulse requires the bypass. I would try and ground it first and if it doesn't work look into buying the bypass. Pretty easy install.

Depends on the firmware and if you go to update it it will need the double pulse. So if you have a HU now that needs to be updated you wont be able to just ground it once its updated.

I just installed the Pioneer Avx-4700bs and wasnt even going to use the dvd player so i didnt hook up the lime green E brake wire. But then i needed to reset the unit cause i set it up wrong and ended up having to connect it anyways. Ill eventually bypass it for the kiddies but for now i tapped into the lime green wire on the 24 pin plug left of the fuse panel.
