I recently purchased a Pioneer 2800bs and a steering wheel control module to put in my 4Runner. After the initial install I was pretty happy about everything except for the loss of the reverse cam. This isn't a huge issue and I will probably take it to a place that does installs and have them hook it up.
The problem that I am having is that sometimes when I turn on the stereo it makes no sound. Not beeps from changing volume not music, nothing. Well fast forward and Crutchfield graciously sent me out a new head unit and and the steering wheel control module. I really appreciated that. Well, I installed the head unit only and nothing changed except the Bluetooth interface was a lot smoother and it paired with my phone more quickly. The sound still went away periodically. So tonight I changed out the new steering wheel control module and am getting no sound at all (even after continuously resetting the radio) and now the mode button won't work either. Is there someone who is knowledgable or experienced with this that can help me? Could this be an amp issue? Thanks in advance!
