I'm curious as to what makes you suspect that?

I would bet on Guanajuato, MX for assembly but I won't venture to guess on engine build as we don't have much to go by yet. It's a NA/SA market vehicle that might have the most in common with the Tacoma on the new platform. We are all just guessing of course.

Saw a video from one of the engineers at the Japan plant explaining possible new designs for the 6th gen 4runner and it included a possible 4 cylinder turbo, 4.0 V6 might be used and also hybrid.
