Plasti-Dip Angry Eyes? Opinions?

Now just add some chrome straps to your door edges, a tape-on pinstripe from Autozone, a whistle tip on your exhaust, curb feelers and fuzzy dice. It will be dope.

Adding 5% limo tint in two strips on your windshield leaving a 10" space horizontally to look through should be a given, so I didn't feel the need to add that to the list.

I didn't think about that...once I get some money I'll probably change to clear corners and such, thank you for your input!

I only say this because I have experience with it - 10 years ago in California I was rear ended on the 10 fwy in the early morning darkness and I was adjudicated as the at-fault party due to the taillight covers on my car. It was a light hit - ~10mph at most, but it caused about $600 in damage that I had to eat.

its been said before but its your t4r do as you please.

i personally think it makes it look more aggressive. i have done it in my younger years.

but as it was said as long as it does not interfere with the head light output you are good to go

At the end of the day it is your truck and you should do to it what you like, not what a bunch of guys on the internet say. But if you are looking for opinions Ill throw mine out there sense I was in the same boat as you a few years ago. Personally I dont like the whole plastidipping and tinting lights, reason being, the 3rd gen t4r has a lot of good lines and really doesn't need cheap cover ups to hide or change those lines. Can things about them be improved, absolutely, Im really a fan of the clear taillights and corners. But I think that the plasti dip and tint just looks cheap. You have a really nice looking rig and I think those things really take away from the cleanness of your rig.

My biggest advice after having to undo a lot of things like this to my rig because after a year I decided it looked like crap and they just started wearing out is to do things right the first time. Over think all the mods you do and really consider the longevity and practicality of them. Because if you plan on keeping your rig for a while youll want these things to be done right to save yourself future headaches. So I would say rather than throw your money at the tacky appearance things, save and do things that improve the off or on road performance or whatever it may be, you wont regret spending the time and money on quality parts later down the road. For the appearance things I say keep it subtle, so the people who actually know what is up will stop and say hey I like what you did and those that dont know will just think its another 4runner.

Having the same "problem" myself. Mine's fairly new (to me) and I don't plan to do too much to it, but I have the urge to be around it frequently.

Not trying to be a hater but for the sake of others on the road, please don't tint your blinkers / corners / reflectors (or tail lights - not sure if you've done those, too - EDIT I just looked at your sig pic... tinted brake lights are bad).

.... as long as *you* like the way it looks, as most others have said, keep them and enjoy them.

Sure it is perhaps a bit cheesy, but I's say it looks neat. I would like to see more pics of it in the day time.

I honestly think people get wrapped around the axle when folks do purely cosmetic "mods," especially without any performance upgrades. I imagine you'd get applauded for adding a nice [though perceptibly comedic] touch for your angry eyes if your rig was lifted 6" on a SAS front end with 37s and a V8 swap .

In any case, don't stop enjoying your ride! I remember what it is like to have to save up for months and months just for one upgrade at a time, which was more often further delayed by various repairs and such.

You've gotta satisfy your inner tinkerer somehow, and trust me, you will get burned out if the only wrenching (or generaal tinkering) is fixing gremlins. I wouldn't mind if you took off every part of your car and spraypainted it yellow--at least you are doing something and, again, actually having fun with it!

Keep doing what you're doing .

I think it looks cheesy. I put "eyelids" on my old mazdaspeed 3 but these were ABS plastic and looked like it belonged, the plastidip, typically on emblems too, looks extremely cheap. the little time it takes to take emblems off and paint them goes a long way.
