Plasti Dip entire 4th Gen T4R?

Has anyone ever thought about doing this? I think that a matte black 4R would look awesome! The kit seems to include everything including the sprayer.

There is a guy on Instagram who had a Bright Green plastidipped Tundra, but his was professionally done at a shop that was Plastidip approved. Other than that all I've seen are Audi's and Ricers

If you don't plan on going off road ever then it'd be an option; plasti-dip is a weird material to clean however, I'm sure they have a solution over at DYC but personally I'd be too concerned with it peeling to dip my car.

I saw one locally a few weeks back done black dude did the rear side windows as well was all black looked pretty cool but. We just driving by didn't get close look

The guy I bought my Rear FJ Springs from Plasti Dipped his Land Cruiser. Looked very cool.

Or plan on driving on a gravel road, behind a salt truck etc. I would also be concerned about durability. I can see it work on a show car but not so sure about a DD.

Plus not really sure I'd be all about creating the illusion that my truck is made of plastic. That's just me tho.

Was a nightmare at least for me. I dnt know what i was thinking. I plasti dip my 4gen 4runner with the cans!. Does not look that great at all. But the worse part is trying to take it off! I put on 5 coats and i guess that wasnt enough (the more coats the easier it is to peel off supposedly).. But i got tired of it and it was a nightmare getting it off. Especially the hood since it got "baked" with the heat of the engine.

I finally found out an easy way to take off the plasti dip. Spray the plasti dipped area with wd40 (they sell one that sprays over large areas..buy thar one) let it sit for a while.. 5 mins or so .. (I didnt have the patience to wait so long but i think the longer u leave it on there the better, so leave it on there for 30min to an hour if you can)

After that. Drive to a local diy car wash and use their pressure washer and it comes off pretty easy.

Just did that yesterday but there is still a lot of "grim" on the car. Now i have to pay for someone to wax it real good.

At least this was my experience. Totally regret it.

Personally I wouldn't do it but your 4runner is a DD I would for sure not do it. I understand if you had a second vehicle that you barely drove or a show car then it would be fine but the money it cost to do that I would put that $$ toward something else on my 4runner. Just my $.02.
