Looks Great, just like i did. Your from Carolina eh? Im fron elizabeth city before i came to Colorado. If you do the grill let us know how u did with it and if yours lasted. Im taking my up to denver today so im going to have a bug and wash test for my new plati-dip
Ya man, I'm in Raleigh, getting ready to move to Wilmington actually!
I too didn't have problems with heavy rainfall and 70mph on my way home from work yesterday, Plasti-Dip is holding up well, I wish I had done this a year ago!

I pretty much have a plasti-business at my school and have plasti-dipped many parts. From my experience I have found krylon clear coat works best with plasti-dip. It cleans off without any trouble, smooths it out and make it tough.
I think it looks good. I have a black 05 T4R, and wish I had this or the mica colored one every time I see them on the road. They just look so sweet.
I PlastiDipped my front grill about 6 months ago and it is starting to go almost grey, I think next time I will wait for it to cure and then throw on a coat of spray urathane. Something you might want to consider too. Has anyone else tried that?

Yes, and I wouldn't recommend it lol.
Spraying any kind of paint over Plasti Dip makes the stuff almost impossible to remove in the future. It also turns the finish from a smooth, matte black to an orange peel-y, glossy, weird sort of thing.
Just peel it off and spray again. That's the beauty of the stuff.

No need to mask off the tires, just the brakes. The Plasti Dip will peel off of the tires, and you can remove whatever is left with a microfiber towel.
I had the wheels on my Mercedes Plasti Dipped. They wer a bit dirty in these photos, but you get the idea:

Plastidip '06 Silver 4Runner
I joined the club of adding black accents to my silver 4Runner and I LOVE it. The plastidip is easy to use - just don't over spray or it will get caked on and possibly run. For the grill, I popped the Toyota emblem out to spray the center piece of the grill and the popped it back in. I think the silver emblem against the black looks great.

how hard was it to get the extra off around the letters where you couldnt cover.
I figured since it was my first time with Plasti-Dip as well, I'd post some pics.
I'm so sad I didn't know about Plasti-Dip for the last 5 years!

Its not very hard to peel off the overspray between the letters. The trick is to lay it on thick. I learned how to do it on t4r and so far after 9 months including lots of carwashes it has been very durable , even on the front bumper. Every time I introduce someone to plasti dip they start finding lots of uses for it. I did a gun stock,an axe handle, tons of crap on the runner,I think im going to get a can of it for re dipping tool handles .

Here's a before, during, and after of my first plasti-dipping experience a few months ago...
4 or 5 coats and holding up like a champ!!
the center being black is i think the best look and plasti dip does wonders. i have like 10-15 coats from redoing mine, i dont think i will ever get rock chips from it being that thick. truck looks great
