Plasti-Dipped and now theres a Video!!

Here is a video i made on how to Plasti-Dip your emblems. I know there are many threads on it already but this video should help out any who are on the fence. Its fairly easy and does not take much time. Enjoy!

Sweet man, thanks for the video. I really want to do this I just wish they had a gunmetal color as I want a little contrast. The black emblems definitely look good on the light color runners. :thumb3:

I've never used plasti dip but like how easy it is to color your emblems....now if you can paint it any color with a rattle can that would be awesome.

Anyone painted the stuff before?

Thanks for this. I just bought a 2011 Camry and already want to black out the emblems, I may give this a shot but a little nervous since it has less than 10 miles on the odo hahah

What did you mask around the emblems with? Not the tape part but whatever that is around the emblem itself. Seems rubbery.

thats the plasti dip. I haven't used it but I'm assuming that's why you plasti dip your emblems because it peels off easily around the emblem so you don't have to mask in the crevices or remove the emblems to paint. Atleast thats what I got from the video.

its the plasti-dip itself it comes of ur paint very easy, and sticks to your emblems, this is so you dont have to take the emblems off your car.

haha i know how you feel, but i say go ahead and do it. even if you dont like you can take it off your emblems

How did you get in those really small gaps? I got out some tweezers today and they didn't really fit.

I Plasti Dipped the entire piece that surrounds the license plate tonight. From what I can tell it looks great. I'll try and get some pictures tomorrow.

yea i did have a little left in the cracks between the i and m. A toothpick works great, you just have to play with it a little bit.
And def post pics of the license plate piece im trying to decide if i want to do that, along with my trim piece at the bottom above the hitch. mine is faded and i think it will add a nice touch.
If anybody has plastidipped that piece id love to see some pics.

ive washded my car at least twice since i did my emblems and theve held up fine
