Please give your opinions on shocks/struts

While this doesnt help your situation... can you tell us what you dont like about the Monroes? And which ones you have installed.
 
Here is some advice, dont do a spacer lift. Everyone I know, including myself, hated it with-in months and changed it out. If you are set on spacers, only do the front. Rear spacers are the worst idea ever. Landcruiser coils and shocks for the rear will be cheaper and better than rear spacers.
 
On my 01 i installed Monroe quick struts. Moog rear coils and Monroe sensa tracs. Raised my truck about 1.5 in or so all around and rides great after alignment.

If he says the ride sucks with the Monroes, he'll be ready to burn it to the ground with the spacers. If it's not an off road vehicle, why lift it? It'll ride like sh*t, handle like sh*t, etc. Put the Billy HD's in, maybe go with '99 tall springs and call it a day.
 
If he wants something close to stock, my stock will be available shortly. Everything is is good shape, with no sag. I'm just lifting a bit, so these will be of no use to me. Its from a 98, so they may even give his 01 a little bit of lift.
 
I have the Rough Country Nitro 9000s from Wheelers Offroad. Got the rears for $72 and the fronts for $121. I like them, for now.

I was looking at those, and was really close to ordering a pair of rears but had a full OME setup drop in my lap. I read quite a few good reviews on them.

Can anyone provide some comparison for running the above mentioned Nitro 9000s versus stock land cruiser 80 series shocks in the rear?

I'll be running them with 8 wrap LC coils.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
 
I am looking to lift my 2000 4WD about 2 1/2".

My truck has 203k miles so I figured I'd do shocks and springs but don't want to spend alot.

The Nitro 9000 are about $193 for front and rear. That's not bad.

Has anyone used these?

Then I'm thinking the 891/890 coils.

Is this a good combo?

Should I get that 10mm lift enhancer for the front too? It's $75.....
