Please help! Both driver door handles are broken

So I'm in a pretty good bind.

This weekend the exterior driver side door handle suddenly pulled up further than it should have. Something must have come loose and the handle would not longer work.

I didn't have a chance to fix it and that Monday I go in to work. I get to the security gate and go to roll down the window to swipe my badge. Well the window binds up a 1/4 of the way down and stops. Luckily it goes back up.

To my shock, the interior door handle would then not work. I know how to take the door panel off, but I need to get the door open first. Several of the pins are covered up by the steering column area.

Does anyone have any ideas?

get a spare door panel from a junkyard, cut your old one up, open your door, fix problem, check to make sure it's fixed, then replace with spare door panel from junkyard.

That's what I would do.

See if you can remove the inside handle and try to pull the cable by hand. It may be loose and have too much slack for the handle to work.
