Please help! Going crazy!!!!!

So I have a 2010 Limited with the 20's. I can't make a decision to save my life on blacking out the OEM wheels, replacing the OEM wheels with 20" x 9" aftermarket black wheels or a 17", 18" or 19" aftermarket black wheel. Please post pics or opinions if you have modified your 2010 or 2011 4Runner.

On a side note...has anyone blacked out all the chrome on their Limited? Please post pics of you have. I'm on the fence on having all the chrome painted or having a sign company wrap all the chrome in matte black. I can have all the chrome wrapped for around $700 (except the door handles). Seems be the most cost effective way.

Thanks!

$700 for a wrap?!?! Wow. I would try to do it yourself if you have time and put the rest of it away for your new wheel/tire fund. :D

If you don't want to mess with spray paint, you could try using plasti-dip. I bought a couple cans and just messed around with some of the chrome. If I did my prep work better the parts would have been perfect. But, I kind of rushed it and so some spots are showing chrome due to my carelessness. Plasti-dip is real easy to take off if it doesn't come out right, which I plan to redo as a spring project when it starts to warm up over here.

Oh, one of the chrome foglight covers actually came out real good, and it's been holding up quite well even with all the weather and salt we have had here in the northeast.

Also, as for the rims, you might want to take a look at snow&surf's 4R. Its Mag Grey and has Ultra Gauntlet wheels on it. Looks awesome!

I agree $700 seems VERY steep. I had a guy do my fog light bezels and all four strips for $120. I painted my grille (which I cant wait for my Grille Craft). And I will be purchasing the TE rear emblem that is black.

As for wheels, are you planning on taking your truck off road? If you are I would go with the 17s. That way when you air down you have more sidewall to flex, not to mention the tires are probably cheaper.

Rhino Sabi Matte black wheels

No I will not be taking it off-road. It's not a 4x4. I think I found the wheels I want. Rhino Sabi matte black 20" x 9". So far on the net they look really cool. I like them better than the Ultra Gauntlet's and not to be a hater, but the Gauntlet's are a bit played out. Pic attached. Let me know what you guys think.

Ha! That's true, but chrome is simply disgusting on a charcoal/grey/gun metal/ etc... color car. If the brain surgeon's at Toyota wouldn't have completely failed as car manufactures and not put a 7" car wheel on the 4runner and did the proper thing by going with a 9" or 9.5" wheel I would keep the stock wheels.

Not as played out as black rims

I knew they were played out. Actually thought about going with the bronze version. Actually had bronze wheels on my silver nissan Z and it was stellar.

But the silver black combo looks good. But it is funny when I get together with the 120 guys most of us are silver with black wheels.
