Wow, the BS that came from the salesman and his manager! We walked out...and it took the dealer another month of so to sell that car! After that experience, we backed off on buying a new car for a while until my wife just can't tolerate the poor lighting on the Corolla. So, we decided to stay below $30k...and the two candidates were Camry and TSX.

Funny you mention a bad experience at an Infiniti dealer. I was with my friend the other day test driving cars and went to an Infiniti dealer with him to test drive a G37s coupe. They took my car to appraise its trade in value while I took the test drive (didn't say I would be trading in my car, said I would be selling it private party), yet to take a test drive they demanded me for my keys. I had been waiting around too long at this point (waited 45 mins for license check and to fill in multiple sheets of information just for a test drive) The salesman I dealt with sat me down at someone else's desk, so when that salesman came back with his customers, we had to sit and wait in the customer lounge. Took the test drive finally, but it was cut short by 1. the salesman I was dealing with drove 1/2 of the distance - and drove it like a rental with really quick acceleration and braking- and 2. the low fuel light was on the entire test drive...according to the computer read out, we had 3 miles before the tank was out when he handed me the keys. Got back from basically sitting in rush hour traffic only to find out that my car still wasn't done being appraised. I asked for my keys and said that I had to go. The sales manager came up to me and started to persuade me even more to trade in my car and buy on that day. I had told him that I was looking over all my options before deciding to buy, yet they wanted me in that seat that day. Won't be going back there soon any time.
On a lighter note, just picked up an 09 TSX as a loaner for my RDX, and man is it a sweet ride!

So far, i have two criticisms about TSX:
1. Memory seat is ONLY for the seat...the mirrors are not memorized!
Cheap bas****s! It's OK...i guess that i am more anal about the seat settings anyway. (BTW, my Sienna's memory seat is full featured.)2. When i turn the steering wheel, it makes a slight "whirring" sound...like an electronic sound. I know that the TSX has the electronic steering, but Acura can't quiet it down???? Not a big deal.
Anyway, we love it! The power is surprisingly good for a 4-banger. Transmission (auto) is pretty aggressively calibrated to give quick downshifts at the touch of the throttle. In fact, the throttle is a tad too quick on initial push. The ride is firm, esp. if you're in the rear seats. Thus, my comment above about keeping stock rims.

I'm only 20 and had another 20 year old friend with me, which probably didn't help out my case, but in reality I am in the market for a new car. The same level of service should be used by every staff member at every dealer, and it was for your's and I's cases... unfortunately it was an all around negative experience.
The TSX handles like a champ, but the ride is much more supple than my RDX's. Good balance in the handling/comfort department (but this could just be my ass telling me I'm more comfy in the TSX.
My gripes from driving it for just a few hours were these:
1. The fog lights are almost useless
2. Throttle is a bit jumpy and does hold gears to a higher than expected RPM before shifting
3. Side view mirrors are too small
Great car all in all though. I'm sure you'll be happy with it

No wonder i prefer to drive my minivan these days instead of my G! Yeah, the fogs are useless...but probably because the HIDs are so good??
Throttle is jumpy for sure...smooth getaway from stoplight needs your attention. I think that Acura did this to give the driver the "sense" of power...because the 4-banger is limited in that department, as compared to other V6s. Camry V6 is just a monster!
You need to shift it into "S" mode for the tranny to hold gear longer (till readline). S mode is for aggressive driving or if you want to shift gears manually. "D" mode is mainly for boring people like my wife and I.
As for side mirrors, i love them!! They are about 10x bigger than my old BMW M3. In fact, over the weekend, i went and installed 3" convex mirrors on each!! My wife and I are big fans of those convex (fish eye) mirrors! My old Corolla (and M3) mirrors were too small to install the 3" convexes. My G500 has 3.5" convex mirrors...love them, esp. when changing lanes.

Yeah, the TSX's ride is heaven compared to my RDX. Oh well
And about the mirrors... I guess I am used to the big CD case size mirrors on my 4Runner. The ones on my RDX aren't as tall, but are just as wide if not wider than my 4Runner's. Then again, I haven't driven many cars with more visibility than my truck
