Please help with Fuse Box - New T4R owner

New owner here! 1998 4X4 SR5 with 131K. I have no prior history because I bought it at an auction - cheap! :wink2:

Horn doesn't work and interior courtesy lights don't come on.

I think I found the problem, just wanna run this by some folks since I don't diagnose wiring problems as good as I should.

When I flipped the fuse box over and I saw that the Blue/White wire connects to the passenger side of the fuse linkage, BUT THERE IS NO WIRE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE! I cannot find any loose, bare, broken wires that may have pulled loose, so I am wondering what to do.

I need suggestions on what to do next. I need the horn to work and interior courtesy lights sure would be nice at night.

Haynes manual was of no help at all.

The same is true for the Blue/Yellow wire for the interior courtesy lights. One wire at the fuse.

See photos.

Before posting, I did test a lot of stuff.
Horns test OK.
Wiring at the steering wheel looks factory with no modification.
Fuses are fine.
I traced the wiring harness from the horns and the main harness to the fuse box under the hood. Also looks untouched.

There are no wires as it is has a bus bar within the plastic.

I would recheck the steerring column. The clock spring might be bad.

As for the interior lights, check the bulbs, see if you are getting power and grounds, when the doors are open.

Hey, thanks! That helps a lot! I will read about bus bar online, since I really don't know what that is! LOL! The horn and dome light circuits seem like the most simple type circuit possible and I'm a bit frustrated as to what's wrong. The clock spring is in the steering wheel, right? I'm a bit intimidated by the airbag system going off.

Edit/Update:
I just read a nice article about the clock spring replacement, (Service manual calls it a "spiral cable"). I learned a lot. My cruise control does not work either, and that is one of the problems encountered with a broken spiral cable. Now I need to find one since a new one costs $230.
