Previously posted in off topic but wanted to share this with my fellow 5th Gen'ers that don't visit Off-topic very often.

At 9 months, my daughter (now almost 4) was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder called Glycogen Storage Disease. There are about 11 known types of GSD and Avery has Type 1a which is categorized as such due to a deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphatase in the liver, kidneys, and other organs of the body.

As part of trying to raise awareness about this disease, we have created a website and a Facebook page. We have also submitted a Toyota NASCAR design highlighting Glycogen Storage Disease in the Toyota Sponsafier Contest.

Please help support our cause by visiting our submission and voting once a day for the next 10 days.

Thanks guys, this contest will do great things for promoting a cause. Toyota has done many wonderful things for the previous contest winner that was unveiled at the All Star Race in Charlotte. They have gone above and beyond what they were obligated to do. I have spoken with the previous winner's charity and Toyota has opened many doors for them in a very short time.

Voting is once again open. We were selected out of about 25,000 submissions as a Top 10 Finalist in the Toyota Sponsafier Contest. AverysHope.org along with CureGSD.org want to spread the word about Glycogen Storage Disease to the NASCAR Nation, and you can help.
