On a V6 its up by the radiator hose under the frame well.. I don't think it would be different location on a 2wd then it is on a 4WD
You have to pull the pressured fuel line off to get it out... Be careful not to loose the compression washers..and that line will be under fuel rail pressure.
On the V6, there are actually two.
The one in the picture is actually for the ECU.
The one for the gauge is on the back of the block, a SINGLE wire, with a spade connector in white plastic, driver side.

It’s on the top of the driver side head, against the firewall.

Happen to have a pic of the manifold off the truck so you can see where it is- red/yellow arrow, alongside a heater hose. If your connector is like mine it's more of a yellowed aged used to be white. Of course it's not going to be that open, there are a few hoses back there.
