Bring the beef to another thread. I am expecting to have the dongles for ALL years and models in my hands in a week or so. Takes a while to get them here. As far as costs... I think I did mention the cost of the parts for the 2014+ models are more expensive. They are. When I get them in I expect them all to be priced slightly higher. Stayed tuned they should be in soon. Thanks for all the interest.

Yes.. I am/was aware of the splice and cut method, but for a price (decide when I see it), plug and play, and non-permanent is great...
If this dongle idea hadn't come up, I was planning to splice.. but since it's here, I'm all for it!!
And for the record, I already moved the AUX connection into the glove, so I will have my camera button right there in he center console.

Ok so it looks like I will have everything sometime this week. I am located in southern westchester NY, anyone with a 2014 plus in my area able to test fit to make sure everything works out? Please PM me if so.

Parts are in! Dongles are ready to go for the 2014+ and the original for 2010-2013. I made some improvements based on the experience I have had with mine so far. Rather than having 4 feet of wire attached to the dongle I am just including the wire with the dongle unattached. I am doing this because I ended up cutting mine due to the fact that once installed I could not remove the dongle quickly. Now it is easily removed for whatever reason you may have.
Below is the 2014+ model.
And the 2010-2013 model.
I have the video input dongle for the 2014+ ready as well but I need a tester. The first person to purchase the 2014 dongle will receive a FREE video dongle to test as long as they would agree to give me feedback and send me install pictures. (If not I will move on the the next person in line).

The switch i use is the AOB (air on board) switch.
TOYOTA 4RUNNER Replacement Switches -Air On Board
Perfect fit in our trucks. I have a 2011 so i have the Red/Green switch but for the 2014+ i would get the blue.

Just realized I didn't post a picture of the video dongle...
The dongle adds the ability to plug any RCA video device into the screen. Mostly used for cameras. You will need additional hardware to switch the video inputs. If you check out threads you will see the selector switch. If you have any interest in this let me know. I do not plan on making them unless people want the switch.
The female jack is the input and the male plug is the source for video.
If you do not have any auxiliary input just connect the plugs together and it will function as stock until you feel like building your cameras out.
These will be up for sale on the website soon once I get some test results.
