Plug in portable air pump recommendations?

i have the same, and I cant recommend them enough. they are amazing compressors.

they do not plug in to the dash though, as you said, they clamp straight to the battery.

for stock sized tires, and the other things you mentioned, the small one would be plenty. for oversized tires, I would go for the larger one. mostly, just to cut down the time it takes, but either one would work just fine.

I purchased the viair 88p. I'm having a bit of buyers remors and considering returning for the ARB Portable High Performance 12 Volt Air Compressor - CKMP12 . I've had the buy once cry once attitude going lately.

For those with the Viair 88p, can you air up all 4 tires without letting it cool down?

It works great for me but I haven’t tried that feat yet. Honestly it gets pretty hot after one tire so I just wait (haven’t pushed its limits yet)

its not 100%, I think its 40%. however I can easily do all 4 of my tires without letting it cool down. it only takes about 15 minutes for all 4 37's.

I've been using the ARB Twin Air Compressor Kit - CKMTP12 and it has been flawless. It's very pricey but probably the fastest portable compressor in the market right now. Crazy expensive.
