Plug&Play OEM Head Unit w/usb for JBL?

Searching through the forums I noticed some OEM scion head units that can be used with Non-JBL head units to improve the look/sound and allow for Ipod or similar usb connectivity.

MY question is, is there any similar OEM head units that are plug and play with JBL equipped 4th gens that have ipod connectivity, etc? (2003 specifically).

I couldnt find any answers for someone that may have done this with the JBL. thanks

You can use an 08 Solara navi unit, you can also search for a used unit from a limited 4runner. I think it's a e7008 and e7009 but not 100% on that.

After searching for moths I decided on a pioneer avic z150, easier to find and about the same price as a used oem unit.

Sorry for the delay....

The Factory Toyota Units are almost plug and play. You have to to a little extra modification to tap in to a few extra wires for the navi to work. Its more work than its worth.

With the AVIC Z150 there is a harness you can purchase that allows you to re-use the factory steering wheel controls, JBL AMP etc. Plus with a new unit you get the up to date Navi Map, Bluetooth, ability to connect to a smart phone and use the many available apps.

Over all I just felt a newer unit was a better investment and althoguh you dont get the factory look, its still pretty awesome.

Hi there,
I'm also looking for a solution similar other than I'd prefer a Bluetooth connection for music purposes. I went aftermarket with my previous car and prefer OEM. I have a non nav jbl 05 and would prefer an upgraded non nav jbl from something like a 08 or 09 or another Toyota vehicle. I'm all ears on suggestions.
