PNW Meet Up

Hey PNW folk, who is in for a meet? I was thinking about next Saturday, June 14th. I can not do morning, so I was thinking afternoon or early evening. We could meet at Cascade Station again.

This is a feeler so any input on date/time/location is appreciated.

UPDATE: It looks like we are going to shoot for Sunday July 6th at 9am.

Very interested. But work gives me horrible shifts and I work 12:45-9:45 Saturday the 14th. I wanna do a meet sometime though.

Yea, Sunday would work great if it were not Fathers Day. Saturday is the only day next weekend that works for me. I work the weekend after as well.

I can't. That's National GO (GetOutdoors) Day. And since my wife is the Comm Engagement Officer for the GP, this is her baby she's been working on for the past month or so. So I'm going to be there for support and to enjoy the day.

On Monday, I get to dress up as Smokey Bear and accept a proclamation from the mayor!
 
Do weekdays work for anybody? I am available next Monday or Tuesday. If not, what about Sunday, July 6th. A ways out, but more time to plan. I would like to pick a day where more people can make it.

Keep the suggestions coming.

Yeah saturday won't work for me. I got state EMT testing. I don't think I have anything going on the 6th though.
 
You all suck. in other news I'm gonna go play with matches and try to feed bears... :moon:


Weekdays are typically OK for me, as long as its after 1530. That's when I'm home and off work.
 
Gotta work on the 14th and have another commitment on 21st. July 6th looks good for me. The Duc dressed up as Smokey, now that makes quite a picture. Your kids are going to think you are way cool! Also should be worth lots of spousal brownie points. Very nice.

Cool. It is sounding more and more like July 6th would be a better date. Let's make this official and set the time for 9am by the Starbucks at Cascade Station.

I would love to! I actually asked my wife if we could use it for other occasions but the Forest Service is really strict about where Smokey goes and when he's used. I wanted to use it for some wake boarding and camping at Swift reservoir. She also said that I was to NEVER remove the head in public.

I can't quite commit yet because we may be camping for the 4th. But I'll definitely post it up on my calendar. I've been trying to get a T4R camping trip together at Brown's Camp, but I can't get a weekend nailed down yet. They have some other club activities going on and we can't have it on the same weekend. I'm also completely booked up for all of August's weekends. We're either hosting family for visits to the PNW or we're headed out of town to see friends, etc.

I totally understand, but hope you can make it. If more people are open for later in the day on the 6th, that is an option as well. I figured Summer weekends may be hard to plan for given that everyone takes advantage of our 3 months of sun during that time. I contemplated planning a scenic drive/meet/hike to one of my favorite hiking trails as well (Lava Canyon Trail: Lava Canyon ? Washington Trails Association)

So much to do, so little time.
