A couple of updates

Swapped out my worn out LCA bushings for Energy Suspension poly bushings. Huge PITA, would definatley just go OEM if i had to do it again.

Also blew my passenger CV boot messing around in the mountains, ive got 2 OEM spares im going to boot up with Porsche 930 boots.

1.5 4Crawler body lift coming soon. Almost clear the 285s without rubbing, this should help.

Parked next to my boss' runner after messing around before work in the first snow of the year. I wish I could take pictures and drive at the same time, but I cant, so all youve got is parking lot pictures.

is the Porsche 930 boots stronger and have better spacing?

Not sure about strength, but the spacing is better. Ive heard people talk about using them alot and not just for toyotas. I work with a girl whose dad runs a specialty Porsche shop and im going to have him order me some if he ever gets back from Hawaii

Finally got my Toytec 1" Body lift on in preparation for my ODL front bumper which should be shipping next week.

And now for another swap on this truck, but its the tranny this time. I raided my buddys 97 SR5 and took the R150F manual trans, drivelines, clutch and brake pedals, and all the trim and whatnot that goes along with it. Ive got a separate thread for the swap but will update here as well. Heres a bad picture of all the stuff loaded up in the runner.

Sold my front bumper on Craigslist, sure hope my ODL shows up soon.

I plastidipped my badges when I first got the truck. Since I have the grill easily accessible I figured I would go ahead and get rid of the last bit of chrome. Heres a before shot while im waiting for it to dry.

Are you blacking it out? That'd be one more thing we have in common haha. Have you considered snaggin some clear corner lights?

yeah, plastidip is a rubbery matte black finish that wont chip or flake when rocks or bugs or birds hit it (hit a bird today). Im leaving the Toyota emblem for now, might paint it a different color.

I dont really mind my corner lights, but may end up snagging some clear ones down the road.

Got the grill back in! dropped it while installing but cant even tell, plastidip is pretty tough. It will look less out of place with the matching bumper.

I understand the CBI was meant for a 4runner w/o BL or atleast that's what I was told, how does it look with your 1" BL?

The gap isn't too bad, if my ODL bumper that should be arriving next week wasn't made for a 1" BL I would just take it out. Im either going to build a hoop for each side that will cover up some of the body gap or just change the mounting a bit. I don't mind it that much, but its something to do down the road.

Got the Outdoor Logic front bumper on today, I think either my body or the bumper is a bit tweaked because its shifted towards the drivers side about 1/2 an inch, but you cant tell unless you really look. :flamethrwoer2:

im guessing the bumper, cant really shift the body that much with out a serious crash

Thats what I was thinking, I thought the BL could have thrown it off but probably not that much. Its a bit upsetting that it was built that way, oh well. It was built really tight too, I found a BFH more useful than the cutoff wheel to get the frame rails to seat correctly.

Got the lights in, I wired them separate from the stock fog switch so I can still use that for something else.

Vision X 55w 4" housing, came as a freebie from ODL. Might throw a 100w bulb in there but they are super bright as it is.
