PNWRunner's Build Thread

im gonna be doing this as well, although i think im gonna do the roof as well. im gonna be doing all the doors as im gonna be replacing my speakers with some Infinity Kappas, i have trashed my Alpine speakers so time to upgrade... and with a sub in the back i could use some sound deadening in the back -plus as you say it will help with the exhaust note as well. how much of that stuff do you have left? im just trying to figure out how much im gonna have to buy...

Ive got none left... I actually thought 50 square feet would get me further than it did. I ended up doing the whole cargo area, rear hatch, both front doors, and had just enough left over to go over both front wheel wells.

I was pretty thorough with coverage, and doubled down on the deadening through almost half of the cargo area. By far the biggest difference in stereo performance was gained through the font doors. Im still running the OEM paper speakers and it was quite noticeable how much sound depth was gained, even with crap speakers.

I would recommend at least 100 square feet for the cargo area, floors, and all 4 doors. The roof may take another 50 feet. Hope that helps!

i just spent $120 at the dealer today buying all new clips for everything on my 4runner, headline to door panels, im gonna be putting all new clips in when i get this mod done. let me know how much dynomat type stuff you end up using. i think im gonna do the whole interior.

Not much on the 4Runner, but I did get a new addition which will be my GF's new daily.

2000 TRD Supercharged
Factory Locker
Toytec coilovers/AAL
Recent rebuild with OEM parts

Its a bit faster than my slug, but I still like the runner better.

Got some pics of the runner actually doing something today. A friend of mine bought a new house and we had to use our rigs to clear ~10 acres of blackberries and 20ft alders, among other things.

And the Chevy after the driveline exploded.

Not sure about strength, but the spacing is better. Ive heard people talk about using them alot and not just for toyotas. I work with a girl whose dad runs a specialty Porsche shop and im going to have him order me some if he ever gets back from Hawaii

Did you ever order the Porsche boots? Of so how are they holding up. I can't seem to find anyone that actually has them on their rig. If you didn't get them yet how are your stock boots holding up?

Sold the runner a few days ago. Looking to buy a house and pay off my motorcycle. I think the guy who bought it lurks around on the forum, so it may pop up again.
