polishing cladding/flares?

planning on polishing and ceramic coating my 98 limited, but was wondering if anything can be done for the cladding?

would it be a bad idea to use a DA polisher and just go at it? i'm worries about heat potentially discoloring/warping the plastic. maybe theres a better suggestion anyone out there has?

Yeah you can definitely polish the paint on the cladding and flares.

If you're using a DA polisher you don't really need to worry too much about getting them too hot, just keep the polisher moving don't hammer one spot too long and you should be fine.
