They would sound best on the rear door, setup the same as the fronts, but it might be easier to put them in the rear panel since there is more room there... Either way would work well though, good luck, hope you enjoy the speakers!

Option 2: seems easiler to do........plus it will look stock (now if you can get the same stock speaker covers as in the front, you got it made!)....less wires.

Option1: you will have to take out the interior molding out and run more wires to it.

I vote for Option2

You don't want to have that much separation between yours highs and mids - Components are engineered to compliment each other. Plus, having the tweeter up high is gonna put it right in the ear of a passenger.

That's pretty much what I was thinking, although I really would have liked how it looked up there better. I'll probably go with the door then, even though I feel like it'll take a bit more work to make it look clean, it should be worth it.

It's not too bad depending on the type of tweeter.

If it's the pod type you basically drill one hole for the speaker wires and then put a self tapping screw through the door card. Alternatively you could pre-drill the hole and go with a nut/bolt type set up.

If it's a flush mount type, make sure you cut a little smaller than you need so it is nice and tight. You can always shave a little bit off if needed.

Which components did you go with?

Don't laugh at me but I'm actually going back to the stock JBL stuff. The previous owner pulled it in favor of some flea market stuff, and I don't have the cash right now for the good stuff, so stock is the way to go, but, as you can see from the picture, putting those rear tweeters in the stock location is not an option) so that's why the question. One of these days when I can afford it, I'd love to get a decent focal component setup with a JL TW5 to go behind the back seats.
