Poor man's high lift roof rack mount

Perhaps a little ghetto, but actually pretty sturdy
1/2" bolts, flat washers, locknuts and wingnuts
about $10

Thanks! Yeah, it works good. I just need to get one of those rubber handle holders to keep the handle from rattling against the jack, but after 2 long 4wheeling trips I have no complaints. Doesn't move at all

I was gonna get one of those, I ended up originally just clamping a piece of rubber or a sponge or something between the handle and the jack and using a zip tie. I lost the piece of rubber, so now I just have one zip tie around the handle near the end (so the metal handle doesn't vibrate against the metal of the jack) and then another zip tie that goes around the jack and handle to hold them tight. Though granted if you ever need to use it you need to replace a zip tie but it works and is cheap

I wouldn't call it ghetto, I'd call it efficient. But that's how I mount mine to my rack too...

I really like this idea and this is going to sound stupid but did you guys just drill one hole in each crossmember and then mount it like that? This is now on my list of things to do. Also sorry about the thread resurrection lulz

I dismounted the cross bars from the rails at the end I was mounting it to, and yeah, just drilled a 1/2" hole thru them (I actually did one at a time and remounted so I could get the holes in the jack to correspond with the position I wanted)... then I put the bolts thru the bottom, and reinstalled to the rails bc there wasnt enough room to clear the bolts when the cross bars were mounted
