Portable air compressor idea

Can large adaptors be hooked to this to inflate towables, like Big Mable?

i've inflated stuff when i forgot a 12v air pump, so technically it should work but it will be a lot slower than spending ~$20 for a low pressure, high volume air pump
 
Pretty happy with my ARB hooked up to a 1gallon tank set up w/ the 4 tire inflation system.

8 mins from 15 to 38psi all 4 tires.

This was a big difference from a masterflow air pump of 1hr 45mins to do all 4 ... From 20psi to 36psi
 
I love my little Viair 300p and it was on sale on Amazon for 120 last year and made it to my door in 2 days. Fills up 8 x 31inch tires from 20 to 35psi in about 10 minutes and that's taking my time. I don't even switch it off in between tires. 2 years of flawless performance so far and it's whisper quiet too.

The easiest way to adapt one of them to an inflatable is to use a spare valve stem and remove the valve core.

But like someone else said - it's still pretty slow compared to a $20 inflator. What I actually use a lot - because I own one anyway - is my Dewalt 20v vacuum. I can hook the hose to either port, so I can use it as an inflator for my inflatable boat.
 
The smittybilt (and I'm assuming equivalent clones) come with an inflation nozzle (and needle) right out of the box
 
I don't think I would want to rely on the rechargeable batteries and that thing looks bulky.

I have the ARB single compressor portable unit that was about $350 and it suits me just fine for average weekender use. I have 275/70 tires and it takes me from 18psi to 35psi in just over 2 minutes each. I like having the portable unit so I can bring it to another vehicle and so that it is not getting constant exposure to the elements under hood like a dedicated install is. Also the box is just big enough I can throw my deflators, gauge, tire plug kit, etc. to have it all stored in one spot without being too bulky.

Maybe on another vehicle running 37"+ tires, or beadlocks where you're starting with really low PSI, or if you are airing up every day the dual compressor price would be easier to justify but I have no regrets going with the single.

This is me exactly. The single ARB works great and doesn't take up much room. It's probably a couple minutes slower than the double.
 
I made one with a pump for an Air-Ride system for low rider trucks and put it in a Pelican case, I even put a computer fan on it that pulls air through the motor to keep it cool and it kicks butt. Then the Viair and others came out so I just bought an 88P for the 4Runner and it fits in my storage door in the rear passenger compartment.https://www.toyota-4runner.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=366366&stc=1&d=1595724346

Just used my ARB Dual Compressor portable kit on a beach trip! It was perfect!

It's a C4 Fab spare battery tray. I bent up the tabs that are used for the battery hold down because they ride right on that rubber boot that's on the wiring by the firewall, then painted it black.

So far, I've just done a little driveway testing (I just got it installed prior to going back to work, I'm on a 14/14 schedule offshore oil & gas industry). No hard numbers yet, but it took less than 5mins to hook up, go from 30psi (where my dealership likes to set my tires on service) to 40psi (where I like them to be), and unhook my manifold. The manifold is 3/8 tubing branching off on each side with a common block (Tee, gauge, valve, and QD fitting) in the front. I've got my air line run down to just inside the passenger side bumper corner (in that void, I haven't fab'd a mount yet for it) and use a jumper to get out to the manifold.

Amazing they get 5.65 CFM out of that unit.
