Possible bad rear wheel bearing? Help!!

I've got a 2005 SR5 v6 2wd with 162,000 miles. I'm hearing a noise coming from the rear, sounds like the drivers side. The noise sounds like a bad tire, however the tires are still like new (Uniroyal Laredo). I'm thinking it could be the wheel bearing but I am not sure. I jacked the rear up and did the 12 & 6 shake test that I seen somewhere else and neither rear wheel seems to have play in it. I also did the turn test but during turning the noise doesn't seem to change much. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated

It's possible, I don't know of a way to check that other than just buying a new one. I will look into that this weekend though, thanks

I'm replacing all 4 of mine this weekend. Every one of my pistons is rusty. I was able to retract them when I changed my pads but just barely. Some still moved ok but most took a crap-ton of pressure to get them to retract.

What did the noise sound like? Did changing the calipers solve your problem?

I don't know if it solved my problem yet. I won't be able to replace them until this weekend.

I have just a general droning, sort of metallic noise at most speeds that turns into a sort of grinding while braking to a stop. I'll definitely report back next week and report any changes.

I did the rear bearings in my 1st gen Tacoma. I'm not against doing them in my 4Runner if the calipers turn out to not solve my problem. They aren't fun though. Much more complicated to replace than the fronts.
