Okay, I asked the dealer...
The Eco light turns on and off the AC motor. The motor requires around 5hp to run. Dont believe me, pop the hood, turn the car on and have a buddy rev the engine alittle while in Eco mode. You can hear a different pitch in the engine sound. If you look closely down in the bottom right of the engine block you can see the AC motor "Disengage" and stop spinning when the Eco light turns on.
I could be wrong tho. the dealers will say anything to be more "green"
then again, if they did lie to me something must be wrong with my idle because there is a definite change in pitch when the car is idling to when you rev it up alittle while in the Eco Mode. When i turned the eco mode off i couldnt hear a difference when it would rev up.
Anyways, check it out for yourself! let me know if im going crazy or not!
