Yeah, luckily most dealers give out car faxes now, as I'm sure you have seen. I wouldn't buy one that was a rental either.

If they let you leave and gave u enough time to post this and wait on reply's over 1K plus your 700$ then find another dealer. Runners are different all over. By me there real expensive and looking back on it I probably should have driven some distance to get one but I was upside down a bunch and they ate about 6K of it.

There clearly not hurting to sell. My dealer called me the 27 of March at 930 pm and said they were 10 cars short of quota. Called me at 9 am to see if I could come in and they were short 7

When I showed up at 5pm they needed to move 5 and at the end of they night they had absorbed 6 of my 10 K that I was upside down and agreed to do a dealer trade with a runner in south Carolina that had the rig I wanted (I'm in NC).
I had the whip the next afternoon with a fresh oil change and 101 on the ODO

Dish a little more and get a newer 4runner, i saw some over at Colorado 34k w/o tax. I got mine OTD 39k but thats Vegas price.

35k is pushing it for my budget. If anyone has any leads on a 14-16 with third row and 4wd, send them my way. White is preferred, but will also consider mag gray, black, and silver.

Correct. That is the Carmax curse. It took me a couple months to find mine. I don't see much value in buying a nearly new car that is still under warranty from a dealer. If you find one private party it will likely be in your budget. You can go to the dealer or create a Toyota owners account with the VIN and review any service or repairs that have been done to a car you find.

Mine is exactly what you are looking for minus 4WD. If mine had been 4WD I probably would have gone for it anyway.

Keep what you have for a bit, life is to short to have a car note snug around your neck*. I would recommend holding off if you can, get a few thousand more and that should really open up your options.

*Not saying pay cash, but if X is tight I recommend don't buy X unless you have all the other bases covered (house, retirement, emergency savings, etc etc) which in that case X is really only tight because its cutting into discretionary spending
 
I've also been looking for a 4x4 with third row and have two dealers offer me a brand new 2016 for $34k plus tt&l. Mountain States Toyota in Denver was one of them and it was also white. You could probably push for more off. No way would I pay buy the used one at that price. My cousin traded in a 2016 2wd base Sr5 with third row with 11k for a 2016 trail premium and they gave him $33k for it. I gave up on going used due to crazy high pricing.

I just paid 33.5 plus taxes and tags for a new 2016 sr5, no third row seats though...sticker was like 37,850..

I'll judge you by your actions, not what you drive, how you dress, bank account size or job title........although I have heard driving a TRD Pro gets you laid on average of 1.35x that of Trail drivers and 2x that of SR5 owners so maybe save for that?
 
Ended up going with the first one I posted. Picked it up last Wednesday, super stoked! 2016 Sr5 4wd with third row.
