Possible Rear Diff issues - looking for referral

I have a 2006 4Runner Limited with about 115k miles on it.
It has developed a whine that I can start to hear above 30mph, and is more noticeable on deceleration.
I'm pretty sure it is the rear diff.
I checked the fluid level and it was fine (also no leaks). I pulled the plug and the fluid was dark with a sheen to it, and there was fine metal on the train plug.

I'd like to find a local shop to confirm / deny my findings and do the appropriate repair. I'm definitely capable of pulling the 3rd member myself, but rebuilding is not in my wheelhouse.
I've seen good reviews for East Coast Gear, but like the idea of having someone local I can look in the eye if there are issues.

I'm located in South Orange County, CA, so anywhere in Orange or North San Diego County would be acceptable.

I'm in SC as well. I removed and replaced my rear differential myself on my daughters 03. I thought it was the rear wheel bearings but it was the rear diff. instead. I remember it being a constant noise increasing with speed.

I took it out and drove it to Pro Gear in SD. If you take the car down they will test drive it before you do the work and help determine the cause of the noise. It might be farther than you are willing to drive. They have been guys to work with and know their stuff as well. The noise was gone and has never returned. They will do the entire job if you drop off the car.
