Post lift alignment

Hey folks. Been traveling a lot the last few weeks. Finally got the truck alignment today. I have the King 2.5 Res with SPC UCA riding on BFG KO2 with 1.25 Spidertrax spaces I thought theyd be able to do better on the alignment with the SPCs. Installed the suspension myself, and know the defs of the terminology but little about how much they can affect each one without putting the other out of whack.

Truck drives much better of course....

Thanks.....

Sorry to say they either have no clue and/or are just lazy. Looks like all they adjusted was toe. Caster should be the same ( or very close to the same) on both sides (4.3 would be great). Looks like they didn’t even touch the camber which is super easy with the SPC uca’s (big nut on top of ball joint) . Camber should be close to 0 preferably less than .5 both sides. I’d take it back along with the SPC alignment directions and specifically tell them what numbers you want. If they balk, ask for a refund and go elsewhere.

Just for example, I have 2.5” lift with SPC uca’s. Luckily, there is a local shop that’s familiar with toyota ifs and SPC uca’s. They easily got 4.1 caster both sides and 0 camber both sides with plenty of adjustment left. Drives great.

They did a toe only alignment. You need to get your money back... camber out of spec will impact tire wear.

Yup. That’s my thoughts...Hate to bash them as its Direct Tire and I like them for tires....but WTF?? Not to mentioned wasted 3 hours of my time there....had them change the oil while they were at it and I left the front skid off.

Just wanted to confirm others were able to get close to

Was hoping for close to 0 toe, 0 camber and 3* castor with a 3” lift.

Time to find a real shop in the Boston area

1. Set caster to 4.0 right and 3.7 left or whatever numbers you desire. Do not worry about camber until you get caster where you desire.

2. Using the small lift underneath the truck on the alignment machine, lift slightly under both lower control arms and hold. This is to take slight pressure off tires to adjust. Loosen big nut on top of SPC to set camber. It takes two folks to do this. One to grab the top of the tire and manipulate it to desired camber and the other to tighten the big nut back down. Let the jack down to set full weight back down on tires to check camber. If needed, repeat this process to get camber to 0.

3. Now you should have caster and camber set. Will need to "sweep" steering several times to ensure accuracy. After camber is set, re-torque big nut to SPC recommendation.

4. After you are satisfied with caster and camber, center and hold steering wheel in place with the tool they use jammed against brake pedal. Set toe and you are finished.

Terrible attempt at an alignment. I'd get your money back if I were you and take it somewhere else. They should easily be able to get every angle in spec with the SPC's.

What number are desired? I’m getting mine aligned soon and want to know what to tell them
