Post lift concern

I just installed Toytec Aluma 2.0 3” kit with JBA uca on my 22 TRD sport 4x4. Install went smooth along with an alignment day after getting camber and toe to stock spec, caster to 4.2 on driver and 4.5 on passenger. My issue is that between 50-60 mph, I can feel this very subtle vibration on my steering wheel, similar to how a warped rotor would feel like but very soft and only within that speed. Made sure that I torqued the bolts I touched based on Toytec and JBA spec. Didnt happen before the lift, I put on 900 miles before the lift. Any input would help.

Diff needle bearing if it feel like your going off the median . Put it in 4wd and see if it goes away. If it does you can replace it with a bushing or do a diff drop.

I installed the diff drop and sway bar relocation mount that came with the kit.

Wondering if anyone had the same issue and it just went away over time.

I can almost guarantee it's pinion angle causing driveline vibrations. Just my 2 cents

The way you describe the vibration sounds more like tire imbalance, and 50-60 MPH is the prime speed for that dreaded malady to occur. Did you change anything about the tires/wheels when installing the lift? Even just rotating the wheels front to back can bring out a vibration that wasn't noticeable before.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Didnt realize that this was a common problem after a 3” lift. More so for Tacoma owners. After reading a recent thread on 4runners.con with a similar problem, the OP recently purchased a brand new TRD ORP lifted with 5 miles on the odo from dealership and after almost 1500 miles they decided to remove the diff drop. Removing the 1” diff drop was causing the issue, took them off and test drove on a local freeway for 10 miles and its back to normal. Imma call Toytec in the morning about this hoping they’ll put it on record and if for whatever reason that my diff has problems in the future they will be able to compensate.

I did this same install. I get a vibration when the tires are cold. Once they heat up the vibration goes away. The vibration started for me just recently (12,000 miles after install).

I think my issue is running too much pressure in my 285/70 STT Pros.

Love the ride, only thing I can compare to is Eibach pro lift that I had on my 19 GMC Canyon and to be honest, that ride sucked after a 3" lift. These Toytecs rides smooth even on highway dividers/transitions, takes bumps, man holes, pot holes like a champ. Like others say that it rides more firm but not stiff, and drives more sportier compared to the soft ride it had. I'd buy it again. Along with the JBA uca, the color compliments each other. (see pic)

So you are saying you removed the diff drop and your problem went away?

Correct. Im hoping that my diff isnt screwed up while riding with it. The angle of my axles are about the same with it. (see pic)
