Snowrunner--- what kind of ski racks or those??? do you ski or snowboard?? Because last winter i bought a pair of Thule ski rack but i could only fit two snowboards on it.. There was not enough clearence to get the other 2 upside down on there.. and is that a Arb bumper??

I snowboard, and the ski rack is actually made by subaru but it looks just like the thule ski racks. I can fit 4 snowboards on it but its a really tight squeeze. It only clicks down 2 or 3 times.

Finding out how many 4Runners were produced in a given year, well, that I have no clue on how to find. Hence the reason why I have "question marks" at the end of that statement.

It is easy to do. It is kind of reversibe. If you don't like it you can always screw the cap on the hole. I would say there is a little noise you can hear, but I can normally only hear it from like 2,000 RPM and up, but if the radio is on I can't hear it.

I've read about it here on the forum, and tried to put down the advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantages that i remember, somebody saying that can be 2 noisy, can get dirt into the ...something, feel it on your gas, and after all, not giving you any advantage at all, or just a little (like hp or something). what do you think? is it usually done for the new sound? for the heck of doing a mod? for the hope of an increase in hp? or what?

The only "performance mods", if you can call them that, that I have done are a K&N filter, Vortex muffler, and the deckplate mod.
The past three or so tanks of gas have all gotten me over 17.5 MPG all city, so I may have gained half a gallon between all the mods. I guess my driving could improve MPG a little, but I try to watch it.
I don't think that it could be too noisy at all consider I can barely hear it. It's like a faint sucking sound. If you listen to the radio pretty much at all you won't really be able to hear it.
If you put the mesh over the opening no big debris can get in. I suppose some little particles of dirt could get in, but that's what the filter is for.
I think Ron has said that he saw a dyno of the HP gains and it was like 6-7 HP or something. That is only at full throttle too, so it probably won't affect anything. I don't think I can tell a difference between before and after.
People probably do it to say they have done it and because it gains a little HP.
Since it only cost like $15 or something I would say go ahead and do it.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

i'm not 2 mechanically inclined, so i'm not sure if i should get into this. but i'm thinking about it.
and i'm only talking about the deck mod. don't have money for K&N nor for the muffler. trying to save some money for some Michelin cross terrain tires.
