Ok last question for awhile I promise but I need to know this. If I were to get 265/75/16 tires and Im keeping my stock wheels for a little while too which are 7 inches wide but, the SCS wheels are 8.5 inches wide they wouldn't fit those tires would they? what do I do ! because I don't have 2k to spend at once I have to do it 1 at a time. Thanks

265/75/16's will fit perfectly fine on your stock rims. Remember, if you run too wide of a wheel, you risk losing your bead when going offroad. It's better to run a properly sized wheel than it is to run a wheel simply because it looks cool.

well I have no idea what 8.5 width would look so its not for that and I saw that most tires can fit a wider width..not to much wider but 8.5 is fine

ok so basically I just want a decent priced mud tire preferably under 950 with good quality and will fit 8.5 inch width. that is 265/75/16

If you have to fit a 8.5" wheel, you'll want to step up to a 33" tire (285/75/16). In that case, I'd recommend these. Sometimes, if you ask nicely, they'll throw in free shipping, which would bring your grand total to $560. Of course, then you'll need to pay for mount and balance, roughly $10-14/ wheel.

Discount tire (and other tire shops) usually do buy 3 get the 4th free on tires they are trying to move, so if you want to get something local its worth calling around.

Look on craigslist for take offs. That's where I got my wheels and tires. Brand new trail wheels and 5 brand new BFG 255/75/17's. After I sold my stock wheels and tires with some tread left, the wheels that came on the BFG's and the tires that came on the trail wheels I ended up breaking even and only paying the mount and balance fee. Great deal for brand new wheels and tires.

Also for searching you don't even need to type the site:... stuff another member mentioned. I always just google something like "heater core replacement 3rd gen t4r" and it comes up with exactly what I want 9 times out of 10.

Is that a custom color LineX or one that they already offer? Any chance you could post some closeup shots of it?

The color is based on Toyota color code #1D2 (Thundercloud Metallic). My truck came stock two-tone #768 (Glacier Metallic) for the body with #1D2 (Thundercloud Metallic) body panelling. I hope no one is insulted if they already know this. Toyota only offered it for 1 year. Will post pics later on today...

The hood isn't paint...it's a decal I purchased from Crawlorado. Extremely easy to install. My wife installed it and she helped me with my brother's 4R.

I'm 100% satisfied with my decision to stick with 265/75's with my lift (sorry, but it's not ToyTec!). If you like the look of the T4R's with tires that stick out a little further, you might want to read up on backspacing! I have a build thread with more info, but it's not cool like most I read, so I don't have it linked...
