not gonna lie when i hit a curb at an angle while turning, i hit the upper control arm on the front

Hey Silverbullet - stop hitting curbs dude! Love your truck though, nice work on the painted rims, they look sharp.
I'm having a set of 265/75/16 BFG ATs installed tomorrow and will post some pics. Got a great deal on them at my local BJs Wholesale club, but they're still silly expensive...They look cool though, and that's what matters, right??

and as for hitting curbs, its only when im turning into a curb, as in going into a parking center or lot, but mainly when i pull into my drive way seeing as how i park in the garage. i hit/drive over the curb at somewhat of an angle to be able to fit, and if im going to fast (like 10 mph) it hits the control arm
and for the wheels, all i used was primer and rattle can high heat bbq paint. still think i wanna take em off, clean em up, tape em off, then repaint over the top a few more layers just to touch it up. then im going to polish up the lip so its a little more uniform.

Fit without rubbing may depend on the year.
Reading through some of the web sites, seems like 99 and 2000 were the "high riders" and they started lowering the suspension after that.
My '99 had BFG AT KO's in 265/75/16 when I bought it in July. No lift, plenty of clearance:
This was minutes after I brought her home:
Tires look pretty good, don't they? Aggressive enough to say "I'm not a mall crawler!" but mild enough not to interfere with daily driving.
BUT...
Looks much better without the running boards!
Keep in mind, this is with NO LIFT! Stock suspension!

Wow ! You must work at a tire place. I called around here yesterday , for the 265/75R16's D's it was 257.00 each installed . The 265/70R16's were 180.00 installed ,this is Canadian funds mind you. I worked at a tire place for about 15 years and sure miss the discounts :violin:
