Thanks, y'all. [MENTION=56396]Hepar[/MENTION] & [MENTION=76300]getlost[/MENTION], after having your bumpers for awhile, what are the pros and cons of those lower hoops (if any)?

Anyone with a flat top or full hoop (basher)?

Honestly, I had them put them on purely for aesthetics. I wanted to add a little more shape to the original Badland's design and do something to hide a bit more of the underneath stuff.

I'm actually a fan of both looks. Just trying to decide which to go with for me.

I liked that the added hoops seemed to blend the bumper into the body shape a bit more. On a large rock obstacle it could get caught between the lower hoop and the tire but i dont wheel in large boulders. I think hepar did a great job and they look good on 3rd gens with the lower hoop.

Just came across this thread. Aside from a few Tacoma bumpers converted to fit the 4Runner mine was the first one Jeff did for the 3rd Gen. I dropped it off at his place about 3.5yrs ago and he built it right on the runner. Awsome bumpers, stout, decent weight, and hold up great to stuff that wants to butt heads with you... :becky:

Im sure he has a jig made up for it. The only thing i added was the end cap mod to add some more strength when winching.

Yeah, he'll definitely make and ship them. But, you know how different 12-15 year old vehicles can be from each other.

Tell me more about the end cap mod. He may be integrating that into his design now.
