Post up the UGLIEST 4Runners!

I don't know wtf is going on here...

You know what's funny? I came to this website back in 2009 looking for some pictures of the "new" 5th gen 4Runner. I found some pictures - in a thread similar to this one lol. So many guys back then HATED the 5th gen and everything about it. The look, the size, the "no burger tray" (lol that) and many other things. Guess what? They sold a lot of 5th gens in a market that is over ripe with CUVs, and are continuing to do so.

Vehicle design is like some alcohol - It takes time and a little age to fully appreciate it. I also think some vehicles look much better in person than in pictures. I predict this mid year refresh will sell even better than the current model. Oh, engineers are not even allowed in the same building as the guys who think this stuff up. We get handed a piece of paper after everything is sketched and told to make it work...

I know what you're talking about regarding looks, but I never really liked the 5th Gen looks either, and it HASN'T grown on me yet--just too square and chunky looking for my tastes. This 6th Gen takes that foundation and adds a strange comic-book front end...I don't see this one growing on me over time, either (LOL).
 
And I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit. My girlfriend says it's my truck's gay cousin....

Wayne!! I went to EMT school there and in grew up in Montclair. I'll be at my parents for thanksgiving as of Wednesday. Keep your eyes peeled for me :cool:
