BOOM! Epic Beef Wellington was epic!

Whipped this up this morning..

Spring mix with citrus vinaigrette, segmented blood orange and shaved manchego. David Chang style poached egg on buttered muffin and some fresh smoked sockeye.

For Father's day a couple weeks ago, I made marinated london broil on the smoker. Got 2 x 1.25 lb top rounds from Whole Foods

I got Chimichurri sauce from an Argentenian place that I work by, and marinated them in it for 48 hrs.

Smoked them for 90 mins for a nice medium rare

Then let them sit for 20 mins to reabsorb the juices

Meat came out as absolute perfection

Cold weather Sunday calls for some short ribs!

Gonna braise these for a few hours, searing in lard to start.

Well I would but I saw this post too late and now it is just an empty bowl. Wife had made a pasta tuna thing. Pretty good. Lots of red onions so bad breath for a while I fear.

I really like to cook, learn new interesting recipes. For me, this is a creative process.I do not consider the time spent on cooking lost. It seems to me that when I cook, I am a realized person, I create! I really lack creativity in everyday life, and the kitchen is my outlet. Ladles and rolling pins are my magic wands, and I am a fairy) It may sound childish, but this is what I feel when I stand at the stove, kneading the dough, slicing apples into a pie. I find cool recipes on lolacovington.com and I can advise you to look for delicious and interesting dishes there.
