Anyone up for a run this October? :hello:

Now that the cooler months are approaching I would like to hit up:

Big Bear
Anza-Borrego
Joshua Tree

Those would probably be camping trips.

Does anyone have any good ideas (& dates) for a group day trip?

Since i'm going to Wash DC at the end of october i cant request the day's off i wanted to do a 3 day camping from ocotillo wells to superstion then to ether corral canyon/pancake rock.

but I'm open to a day of wheeling!

Kinda wanted to go out to Jawbone canyon again and Lake Isabella area. A bit far, so it would most likely be a camping trip as well.

I say either Big Bear or Anza-Borrego. I'd prefer big bear before it gets to cold on the mountain to camp for the weekend.

I've never heard of that trail until now, but it looks like a fun one! It's too bad October is such a crazy month for me, I wouldn't be able to make those dates.

It's not a day run, but there's the Cougar Buttes trip on the 18th, 19th, and 20th. It will mostly be Jeeps and FJs, but they have some awesome trails out there from what I hear.

October might not work for me because I just got back from vacation but coming home from Mammoth this past week I passed so many trails and roads its insane. My head was on a swivel left and right looking at dirt roads :jaw drop:. Tons of fun desert roads at Jawbone/Red Rock Cyn State Park that looked fun to explore and its relatively close depending on where everyone is from. Would be fun to meet up and check some of them out.

All my friends/family have 2WD's or small cars, can't find anyone I know to ride with and I have the bug!

Wherever you guys decide, just keep in mind that Preserves and National Forests are gated closed.

I'd be game for a Red Rock Canyon/Jawbone/Nightmare Gulch run. I'm originally from Ridgecrest and have never wheeled those areas, so it's about time I did!
