Potential Setup

I'm currently running 265/70/17 BFG's, I'm planning on a 2/1 Cornfed lift and adding Spidertrax 1.25 spacers...does anyone have this set up currently?

Spacers make me nervous , although they look nice .

I'm not too worried about the spacers as my T4R is not a DD....I am concerned more about any rubbing....I found a different off road shop I'm going to visit on saturday...and now that I have the cornfed instructions and a place to disconnect xreas, these guys should be able to do the lift!

btw, does anyone have the torque specs for the spidertrax and the OEM wheels?

Most Toyota vehicles require 76 lbs. ft. on the lugs (including the 4Runner).

Lou, I have the Spidertrax spacers & the Cornfed lift on mine. I'll check the directions that came with the spacers and get back to you...

I dont have tire rub now, and I shouldnt with the 2/1 and spacers, right? at least I think I shouldnt...

Yeah, I have the 3/2. You will be fine, no rubbing.

sounds good...did you use the loctite?

the spacers need the loctite. Wether u use the provided loctite or if you have the kind in the blue bottle it is the exact same. They should be torqued to 85-100 ft.lbs if I remember correctly then torque your lugs to the factory 76 lbs. super easy to do.

this may sound dumb, but how do I get the spacers off of the rotor to replace the rotor?

just take them off the same way you put them on. Use a torque wrench so you have some leverage, the nuts will come off. Just make sure to reapply loctite if you take them off.

you should be fine. I still have the stock 265/70/17 tires on mine and it barely touches the front mud flap when at full lock in reverse. At first I didn't notice it but I was backing out of a parking space with the window down and heard this barely noticeable noise. I couldn't hear it with the radio on or feel it in the steering wheel. Give it a try if it rubs take off the front mudflaps as you will have to if you want the 285/70/17's on there after you put on your lift.

I will try it b/c I'm sure the spacers will come before the lift...but I plan on keeping the 265/70/17's on there...

I would stay with the 265/70's ( personally)

Rod n Gun , the stock tires are 265/65 correct ?? I had to upsize to 265/70's sine mine came w/65 series as do all of the models now.

I don't know, I thought the limited's with 17's had the 70's, I bought mine used and that's what came on it so I am not sure what it originally had on it.
