Powdercoat color match

So i'm trying to get a build list ready and one issue i'm coming across is color matching bumpers. When I place my order for my bumpers i'd like to already have my paint options ready, which is Galactic Grey and take them to my local painter/powdercoat shop. So my question is, is it going to be possible to powdercoat my bumper to match my 4runner? I have found that Prismaticpowders.com has some powder that seems similar to the base grey but it's hard to say with seeing it in person. Or am I better off just getting it painted and putting an extra protective coat on? I am afraid that the paint will not last but I really want a color matched bumper. Thanks guys!

I ventured through this when I had my armor color-matched...the PC was close but not close enough...I noticed it big time in the sun and it looked wrong...So, although an inferior option to strength, I decided to use automotive paint and it looks f'n awesome...There's no way the PC would come out this exact but than again, I have a color that isn't a standard white, gray, or black...so that being said...if you're okay with a slight color difference not many would even notice, go with powder coating; it is a little better for resisting chips and abuse. The paint needs to be touched up on occasion while it still chips from gravel, rocks, or...deer antlers...

It would be a fluke if you could find a galatic gray pc. The best bet is to have it powdercoated, then color matched painted on top. Powdercoat is an excellent protective base, however, the quality of powdercoating varies immensely and in my experience it's very hard to find a good shop that can properly prepare the base metal as it should be.
If you choose an ARB bumper, they can color match it for you.

Yeah, I was looking at SW for the bumper options, I think my best bet will be custom paint then. I'm sure if I scratch it up too bad I can just get it repainted, how is the finish if you paint overtop of powdercoat?
