Powdercoat or Line-X?

I'm thinking about getting some sliders put on my 4th Gen in the next month or two and I'll want to have them coated. My question is whether I should get them powdercoated or get them sprayed with a bed liner like Line-X.

Aside from cost, are there any pros/cons to one vs the other? Big one being durability of each.

If you're planning on using then like sliders, get something you can easily touch up. There is no protective coating in the world that will win a fight with rocks, so grab some black rattlecan and call it good.

The ones I have were powdercoated first, then LineX applied to the outer sections that act as a step. Will let you know how it all worked after about 2 years here in the salt road rust belt. As said nothing will stand up to rock scrapes or Hi Lift jacks, but around here it is mud in summer and then salt in the winter.

I primered then had the sliders bed-lined on my 5th gen. The liner really helped seal things up and provides good footing even when wet. So far, no rock chips from gravel roads. I don't plan on getting too serious with my 5th gen in the rocks, well not yet anyway.

I've used both spray paint and powder coat(currently on my sliders). First time I had ordered my sliders, I opted for bare metal. Because I knew they'd be scratched up from wheeling, I just used a spray can on them. Over the couple winters, they rusted up pretty badly. I then ground off all of the rust and had my friend powder coat them. They look good but still have scratches from wheeling and knew this would happen. Where they have scratched is showing some rusting. I just tape around the deep scratches, sand down the rust and spray paint over it. I think the LineX would be more durable but still with deep gouges, you'll need to touch it up. Not sure what I'd do for the next set. I want to sell my OPOR's for another set.
