Man, running that wire was a PAIN but we got 'er done and new wire clipped down where the old one was.

FYI there are updated part numbers from Toyota, perhaps they updated them over the years? These are the ones I used in my 2000 SR5:

Part Number: 86309-0C020 is the whip antenna - black color. It includes a little wrench to tighten down (45 degrees MAX past hand tight)

Part Number: 86300-35090 is the fixed antenna base/assembly with wire (does NOT include any antenna). The genuine Toyota one cost me like $80, perhaps try the one Roderick linked above for some savings.

My Power antenna still works.
As much as i would like to just use the single rod- because it looks better... I like that I am the only old timer in the parking lot who has an antenna that goes up and down like an old Cadillac..

PS retractable antenna MUCH BETTER for offroading than a whip. Doh.
