Hi there,
I've searched through here and on other sites for an answer to this question, and I couldn't find anything definitive.
I just bought my 2nd 4Runner, a 99 SR5 4x4 3.4L, only 78k miles, all was great for 2 weeks until a few days ago when I went to unlock it with the keyless entry. It wouldn't work. You can see all the locks "trying" to unlock. Works fine if I manually open it with the key, so nothing is binding. If I manually unlock all the doors, I can lock it with the keyless entry. Same result trying it with the door switch. I've seen a couple different possibilities (drivers lock actuator, bad connection in the fuse box) but those posts were a few years old. Just wondering if anyone has any other updated ideas before I drop the money for unnecessary repairs? I really don't want to have to drop a few hundred fixing a vehicle I've only owned for 2 weeks. Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
Sorry if this has been asked and resolved before, just not sure where to turn.
Thanks!
