Power locks remote????

I might get a power lock remote today, and i have a 97 SR5 4WD V6 will any of the remotes (from any year of 3rd gen) work with this, i could potenially get one idk, but i dont reallly have a choice cause what is there is what i get. Helpful sooner than later.

All I can tell you is 99+ is different from 98- and alarm is different from no alarm. There were a few different remotes across the 3rd gens and in general I believe they do not substitute. I take it you have NO remote or idea what it looked like?

This site says you need this remote, used more or less 96-98 and some 99's. FCC ID 's must match.Linky
