Power outlet issue

I ran 12 gauge red/black zip cord from the battery to a power(lighter) outlet on the inside of the console. 20 or 30 amp fuse inline(near the battery).

12v Outlets not working

I just bought a 02 and come to find out the two 12v power outlets under the radio are not working but the cigarette lighter does. Any thoughts as to why?

I check the 15A fues and its good. As I said cigarette lighter works as does everything else on the fuse, just not the 12v outlets (both are dead).

What is the next thing to check? To i need to pull console on check connections/wiring? Just seems odd those died and both.

The cigarette lighter and the two 12v outlets are on different circuits/fuses

Two fuses supply power Outlets. Labeled 15A PWR OUTLET, 15A ACC. a relay involved key must be on.

I checked both 15A fuses and both are good. Just as piece of mind I swapped in 2 new fuses. Still both 12v outlets don't work, even with key switches to ACC or all the way on.

Other ideas, before I start pulling console?

Wish I was, and appreciate the offer, but I'm outside of Charlotte. Once I get sometime, think I'll pull center console and look at wiring and harnesses and hopefully it'll be a quick fix.

Check the outlet in the back too - it is on the same fuse as the two lower power outlets in the front.

Next in line for easy fix checking power outlet relay, DEFOG relay is same part number swap it into PWR position.
If relay is bad or not. PWR outlets always ON mod you jumper the load contacts of the PWR relay.
Aftermarket HU odds go up finger pointing.
