Well, I have been searching and can't seem to find an answer. My '98 4runner doesn't exactly like the dark. When I park it, and turn the headlights on, something begins to squeak. I'm assuming it's the alternator. I hooked up a halogen and strobe lightbar to test out, and the squeaking gets worse with that, but stops when the lights aren't powered on. Also, when getting my gear out of the back when we have calls at night, I put on my 4 ways. The inside cabin light will seem to surge almost in timing with the 4 ways, but not all the time. Never noticed if this happened before my scanner install, but that may be part of it. I have a Uniden BXT15X running from the 12v outlet, and an amp wired up that only comes on when key is in acc. or run, and doesn't have any subs hooked up, just to give you an idea of what could be causing it. Any thoughts/solutions? Thanks in advance!
