Sell it and buy a new V8...

Your best bet for seat of the pants, blazing speed, nose bleed torque and rubber melting burnouts on a third gen is to get the TRD supercharger and URD fuel upgrade kit...

Oh yeah, all gains are not guaranteed as stated, lol...

thanks, how about throttle body spacers, different mufflers, possible dual exhaust, or have you heard of pulstar pulse plugs?

Are you serious? TB spacers? Those should be sold on HSN with all of the other gimmicks they sell on there. None of what you listed will do anything, except possibly make your truck sound louder and wallet lighter.

The ONLY way to get any substantial power increase from the 3.4L is going FI. I had a 98 4Runner with a TRD supercharger and it had pretty good power. Definitely noticable over the N/A 3.4L V6 I have now.

Throttle Body Spacer = Useless

Muffler Options = Nothing noticeable, I run an 18" Magnaflow, no CAT, and dual exits... Only thing I can account for is better sound, and lower idle

Never heard of the plugs...

Look up member QSVeilside for supercharger info, but it ain't for you unless you're willing to drop $3-4k into it and run premium fuel to get your gains...

And welcome to the forum! :bigok:

Thanks! What have you got planned? What have you done already? Get ready to spend all your $ if you hang around here much... :bigok:

going to add interior LED lights maybe outers too, and stereo upgrades. i currently have a K&N air filter and 32x10.50 r16s. do you recomend a decent lift kit? im only looking for 2 or 3 inches of lift tops.

There are no bolt on mods that will make lots of power, as I'm sure you've figured out by now.

Muffler-better sound
Deckplate mod-interesting sound under the hood

Define decent...

Want bigger tires? A 2.5" spacer lift will get you there...
Sacrifices= Harsher ride, excess wear on springs...

Want better ride, off-road prowess, and the ability to add HD front and rear bumpers? Go with a Sonoran Steel lift kit, that's where I'll be getting mine... You get what you pay for, "Nice parts are not cheap, cheap parts are not nice..." A quote from Steve's site...

So, lift options depend on your budget and what you wanna do!

im leaning towards the tougher side for a lift, definetly want suspension instead of body. currently must of my off-road time is spent on the beach but with more wheel travel i'll find a place to put it to use.

Go with sway-a-way coil overs in front for shure.
they cost more than other options but the ride is amazing
i just put a pair in my runner
you can jump em and they are fine
plus you get about 10 inches of travel
