Power Window lock question

The power window lock (or disable) on the driver's door disables the power window's for the passengers but for the driver too! Is this right or is mine broke? I thought it should disable the occupants in the vehicle from operating thier window but the driver should still have control from the driver's door.

Mine locks out the switches on the driver's door, too... I think it's normal.

Looks like a good wiring/modification project/write-up for someone to undertake.

One of the silliest designs ever. The rear window switch is also locked out. I think Toyota is the only manufacturer that does this. Mazda and Honda doesn't, don't remember about Nissan.
