Power Window Switch.....update.

Hi all! I've spent almost 4 hrs this morning at Toyota dealer, while waiting for the window switch to be installed. I just found out that I was not alone with the switch problems. Service advicer guy told me there were 3 of them last year, and I'm the second of the 05. He also bitching about IN CHANNEL VENT SHADES, which I installed month ago. It'll not covered under warranty if the window glass goes of the track or the motor burns out??? Anyway, while I was there. I've a chance to test drive two of the 05 V8 that the dealer has on the lot. It may sound funny, but I felt one is much stronger and faster the other. They both looks identical (silver). However, I really in love with one that has side curtain airbags and a very cool feature so call BACKUP CAMERA MIRROR. After an hour discussed with the sale manager. He wanted to take my car along with $5900 check, then I will take the V8 home today. Man, It seems a bit too much, but I also want to trade my in ASAP. What do you think?
My is 05 2wd sport w/ sunroof, JBL, rearspoiler. only 2,456 miles.

Just curious, what is the model number for the FIPK kit?

First off, what trim is the demo, is it 4WD or 2WD, and how many miles on it? All 2005 V8 engines should be the same. I would definitely test drive this truck again to make sure it is what you think. I drove a 2003 V8 and 2005 V8 and didn't see much of a difference so that is a little odd.

There are two reasons why I wouldn't buy this truck. The first reason is the 2006's have many interior and exterior changes coming. (See this thread:http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12217) They will be mechanically identical, but you may like some of the upgrades. The second reason is dealer demos are not treated with care. I am pretty sure you know what people do when they take these vehicles out for a test drive. Think about a person pushing the gas to the floor on a truck with 20 miles on it.
