Trans New Jersey Trail
A collection of roads that will take you off pavement for over 450 miles from High Point NJ to the Cape May Lighthouse.

The route is rated "easy", stocker/trailer friendly and includes many scenic views on a mixture of terrain including, dirt, sand, gravel, pavement. Camping will be at camp-sites on State Park grounds. It's your responsibility to bring your own food and drink as they do not offer this at the camp sites. Water, Rest-rooms, Showers will be available at camp.

Day 1: Friday - Start in High Point Park. [Entrance Fee to Park: $5 NJ Resident, $10. Non-Resident.] Make it to Spruce Run Recreation Area; Camp over night. (60+ mile run)
Day 2: Saturday - Head out of Spruce Run Recreation Area and make it to Brendan T. Byrne State Forest; Camp for the night. (100+ mile run)
Day 3: Sunday - Head out of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest and make our way to Cape May Point. (100+ mile run)

We use CB (AM 40chan).
There are gas stations off the trail. Gas up before you come to the rally point.

I live in Stamford, CT, and I have that friday and monday off so it could be super cool to actually put that time off to good use haha. And probably good practice and such for my two week camping trip through canada.

Couple of questions for you. How early are you guys planning on hitting the road on Friday morning? I could definitely get out there pretty early since its only like 1:30 away. Any "requirements" for the trip (i.e. cb or ham, extra fuel, etc etc etc)?

Let me know! Would love to hit the trails with you folks.

Gotcha, that sounds awesome. Would love to hear the details when you get em! And yea I figured CB would be good. I run both CB and HAM, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Okay cool! Let me situate the camping permit today and I will post back in this thread with confirmation.

I will be driving an 01 T4R that will mostly be stock at the time of the trip. If the stars align, I may have the lift and tires on by then but it is unlikely and probably unnecessary for this trip.

Man this is some great work. I'm definitely in if there is still room. Just looked at the camping sites, and if there are enough people, it would be easy enough to get another family camping spot right next to the current ones.

I would be hyped to do this and bring my photo/video gear along the way Have that entire friday thru monday off, so barring any natural disasters or emergencies that would require me to travel for work, I'm totally in.

I'll probably end up booking a site next to [MENTION=133021]propain[/MENTION] at each location this weekend. Its not too expensive to have an additional site. Plus that will allow us to park 4 vehicles together. I know I want my runner with me since i'm hoping to rewire my fridge by then.

Yea, I would have done the same but I don't know if I'll be forced to back out last minute cause of work. I can be given like 6 hours notice to be on the next flight somewhere.

If you end up booking a spot at both sites, and I end up being able to go, I'll definitely pay for half if I can snag that other SUV spot :hail:
