Premium package??

i went from a premium to a non premium

-didn't like the feel of softex (Cloth seats feel better and if I wanted leather I would go Katzkin)
-don't like the cheesy two tone leather in the 14-15 SR5
-never used my moonroof so I decided to go without and get a full roof rack
-you don't need the premium package to get navigation

only thing I dont have that I wish I did have was Homelink

Is anyone reading what the OP is saying?

NO don't purchase the extended warranty.

Not that THAT price. But cheaper, maybe.

Or Mooney , you just don't think the extended warranty is good, at all? Share some insights.

jicko, are we on the same thread or are you smoking crack?

The OP posted, in the first comment in this thread:

"Hey guys this is my first post. I Just bought a 2015 SR5 yestetday. I declined the premium package but the dealer gave me until tomorrow morning to decide. It costs, with military discount, $1849. If anyone bought it, is this what you guys paid? Is it worth it?? Or waste of money?? Thank s in advanced."

I'm not following what part of "I just bought a 2015 SR5" you aren't following.

My comment was in response to Hanau , read the progression of the thread here:

(1) Hanau posted and asked:
How do I know I have either Softex or leather?
Checked the original sticker and I have the premium package and leather seating

(2) You made a statement:
If you have a Limited, you have perforated cow leather. If you have an SR5 Premium or Trail Premium, you have Softex.

(3) I asked for the model year:
Depends on which MODEL YEAR. You comment is only true for 2015 (and if the truck is direct from the factory; ie. the dealer did not fiddle around with it).

(4) But, out of nowhere, suddenly you quoted the OP *puzzled*
Right. He said "Hey guys this is my first post. I Just bought a --> 2015 <-- SR5 yestetday.

(5) Hanau came back with the relevant info
I have a 2012

(6) And I just made a point regarding your smart assumption (4)
Blitzkrieg better not assume, right? Also, the one who asked wasn't the one who post originally.

Now you tell me who has been smoking....... :painkiller:

If Hanau had a 2012, he should have stated that right out of the gate. He did not.

The OP clearly stated he had a 2015. This thread started out about 2015 upholstery did it not?

I'm not going to guess that somebody who replies to a thread about 2015 owns a 2012 or get into a pissing match with you about semantics. If he would have stated he owned a 2012 and not a 2015 I would not have responded as I don't know the details of a 2012 (nor do I care).

I was only stating what I know for fact about the 2015. This discussion is done.

There is a lot of confusion on this. Let me clarify the problem I am encountering when trying to build & order a new "TRD Off-Road Premium" model:

When you click on "Build Your Own Toyota", you get to the "Packages" portion, one of the options in the Packages is "Premium Package". When you look at the Premium Package description, it is very vague. It states: "Off-Road Premium Plus Package-Includes SofTex and Multi-Terrain Monitor". This statement is bizarre, as the "TRD Off-Road Premium" already comes with SofTex. So what am I paying for? Just the Multi-Terrain Monitor?

And it seems the Multi-Terrain Monitor is a modification on the usual 360 degree view you get with front, side and rear cameras. I watched a YouTube video on it. Does the TRD Off-Road Premium come with the standard 360 birds eye view, and the MTM is just an improvement upon that? I don't see the 360 birds eye view on any of the options, but I know 4Runners have it. My dealer was very unknowledgable. I knew more about 4Runners and the Toyota website build your truck page than the salesman knew. Watching him trying to navigate the Toyota page was painful. He stated that the 360 birds-eye view was an $850 option, but I don't see that anywhere online.

Additionally, it seems that certain colors require certain features. The website says the red one requires the sliding rear cargo deck AND a sunroof. (My current 4Runner has the slider and I HATE IT). The blue requires a sunroof. White and Army Green require neither. WTF? Has anybody experienced this and can verify anything? The Toyota website sucks for information.

I think part of the confusion is that this original thread started 7 years ago and packages may have been different back then. The Premium Plus package adds Softex and panoramic view monitor (aka multi terrain monitor) to the vehicle. Yes, the TRD ORP already has Softex, so for the $850 you’ll get MTM/PVM added. This is the only way you can get PVM/MTM on a 4runner as far as I can tell. It definitely does not come standard. I test drove a 4runner with PVM and I wanted that option on the 4runner I ordered. The sales guy told me I could add it later. Well, turns out, you can’t... at least right now.

I get my 22 Premium a few weeks ago. Nautical Blue, no moonroof.
